I think that units within it should have like 50% reduced upkeep so that you can actually have it as a mobile platform for your armies and so that you do not autolose sea battles.ĭefinitely think it was a huge miss from CA that there are no siege battles on the arks. Its not worth it to give it units as you are not actively fighting with it. I think the only downside is that it is easily destroyed. It is also a way to give DE global recruitment which makes invading ulthuan much easier! The bombardment has won me countless battles I would hve lost otherwise. It took me a while to understand how to use mine effectively, and there is no easily accessible "wiki" page to figure it out. They are powerful at the moment, but too gimmicky. If the above is not possible, give the black ark a massive naval bonus in auto-resolve, so that you do not have to fear coastal settlement armies so much, and do not have to keep a 2k upkeep black ark just so it doesn't get sniped out of the for of war by a random port army. If the above is not possible, reduce the upkeep of corsairs on the black ark so that they act more as a recruitment pool waiting to be assigned to an actual army. Give the black ark the option to re-inforce armies that are on the coast (You can even reduce the radius of the black ark as a way to balance it). Give the black ark the option to sack or raze costal settlements.

Going around with 2000-3000 gold per turn stack that cannot attack is just not viable, and having to create a new lord to attack everytime is just un-intuitive and kind of a problem since you can't just disband it all the time. They should also get either a more substantial bonus when fighting at sea, or a big reduction in upkeep for the troops that are currently on the black ark. But I'm constantly annoyed by how they cannot re-inforce armies or attack costal settlements. I can see how they can be useful, I'm using one right now. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.844 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
